About the Center for Contemporary Arts:
The Center for Contemporary Arts, in Downtown Abilene, includes four galleries, 10 studios and more than 50 member artists displaying their work.
The center displays the artwork not only of its member artists, but also hosts traveling exhibits throughout the year. Artwork on display includes painting, sculpture and photography by local, regional and national artists, but the emphasis is on contemporary Texas artists.
The Center for Contemporary Arts also sponsors the Artwalk every second Thursday from 5-8:30 p.m. This family event features art exhibits and entertainment, plus shopping and dining opportunities.
The Center for Contemporary Arts is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
