About the Cibolo Nature Center:
Cibolo Nature Center is located just outside Boerne, about 30 miles north of San Antonio. The 100-acre grounds encompass four distinct natural settings: riparian forest, live oak savannah, tallgrass prairie and spring-fed marsh.

The most popular trails around the acreage are the ones that track alongside burbling Cibolo Creek, but there are various nature trails plus equestrian trails (no bicycling allowed).

Many different types of plant life, wildlife, birds and wildflowers dot the nature center's grounds. Nature workshops take place throughout the year, plus there are day camps and other programs for children, and other events. The nature center has a few picnic tables plus a store. The visitors center/store is open Tuesday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sunday 1-4 p.m. It is closed on Mondays. The trails at the nature center are open daily 8 a.m.-dark.
