About Lone Star Park:
If horse racing - or pari-mutuel wagering - is your thing, then head for Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. The Class 1 track features live thoroughbred racing and wagering, plus wagering on hundreds of simulcast races from around the world.
Lives races take place during the Spring Thoroughbred Season (usually April through July), with more races in the fall. Simulcasting goes on yearround.
The track includes a European-style paddock, a grandstand (which is enclosed and air-conditioned), box seats and outdoor seating. There is a trackside dining room, another restaurant plus a sports bar.
Also on the grounds is the GPX Skate Park and Entertainment Center, sure to please the kids.
Admission is charged, and reserved seating is also available. Live racing takes place only on certain days in-season. Visit the website or call ahead to plan a visit.
