Live greyhound racing takes place during the winter racing season, which runs from November or December through March or April. During that time frame, live racing is scheduled five times a week (usually Wednesday through Sunday), with a sixth day sometimes also scheduled. Start time for racing varies depending on the day of the week.
While live racing only occurs during this winter time period, the Valley Race Park is open every day of the year except Christmas. Simulcasting brings horse and dog racing from top tracks all over the U.S., and wagering is open on these simulcast races, too. The park opens daily at 11 a.m.
