About the American Museum of Agriculture:
The American Museum of Agriculture has a straighforward mission: "To preserve the history and tell the story of American agriculture." And what better place to do that than in the heart of the Llano Estacado on the Southern Plains.
This museum opened in the year 2002, but it has amassed an impressive collection ranging from household items to antique tractors. Among the items on display are Moldboard plows, a threshing machine, broadcast binder, a combine, 71 pedal tractors, 300 die-cast toy tractors, and approximately 300 other artifacts and pieces of smaller equipment. Other, larger pieces are in storage awaiting expansion.
The American Museum of Agriculture is open Wednesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. An admission fee is not required, but visitors are encourages to make a small donation.
