About Mesquite Championship Rodeo:
Mesquite Championship Rodeo puts on full-fledged rodeos every Friday and Saturday during its season, with the rodeos taped for a weekly television broadcast that is seen all over the world.
The Mesquite Championship Rodeo season runs from April through September; exact start and finish dates are available on the website. In addition to the rodeo events, there are food and drink available (including Sonny Bryan’s BBQ Pavilion) and activities for the children (including pony rides and a petting zoo).
The rodeo events include bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and a kids' calf scramble.
During the offseason, the home of the rodeo - Resistol Arena - hosts various musical acts.
