Texas Attractions: Lanana Creek Trail
Location: Trail begins at Liberty Hall on East Main Street
About Lanana Creek Trail:
The Lanana Creek Trail is accessed at Liberty Hall on East Main Street in Nacogdoches, just past El Camino Real Park. It is a 2.5-mile trail over land that was once a footpath traversed by Native Americans.
Parts of the Lanana Creek Trail are more secluded than others. But the whole length of the trail is enjoyable and refreshing, leading walkers and bicyclists through paw-paw patches, dogwood and buckeye trees and alongside Lanana Creek.
The Lanana Creek Trail is a pretty easy hike, appropriate for all skill levels and fitness levels. The trail also passed by a portion of the Stephen F. Austin Arboretum.
