About the Parker House Ranching Museum:
Opened in 1996, the Parker House Ranching Museum is in a building formerly owned by Jim and Bessie Parker, and which served as the headquarters for their ranching operations in Andrews and Ector counties.
The museum focuses on county history and ranching heritage. It hosts permanent exhibits, and two upstairs galleries also host rotating and touring exhibits.
One of the ways the Parker House Ranching Museum explores that ranching heritage is by showcasing each year the contributions and legancy of a different area ranching family, through photos, artifacts, stories and interviews.
The Parker House Ranching Museum is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There is no admission fee, but donations are accepted. Group tours of any size can be arranged by calling the museum.
