About the Heritage House and Heritage History Museum of Orange County:
Heritage House, built in 1902, is a Texas Historic Landmark that also appears on the National Register of Historic Places. Workshops and crafts demonstrations are among the activities at this home, which is furnished to depict upper-middle-class family life from the early 20th century to the 1940s.
Located adjacent to Heritage House is the Heritage History Museum of Orange County. This museum traces the history of the country through photos and artifacts.
Both facilities are open to the public for a small admission fee. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Weekend tours may be arranged by appointment.
