About the International Water Lily Collection:
Located in a popular park near the center of San Angelo, the International Water Lily Collection is sure to catch your eye if you are driving past the park on Highway 87. Catch a glimpse when the lilies are in bloom and you'll want to stop for a closer look.
The collection, displayed in several pools and waterways throughout the park, includes lilies from around the world such as the Victoria, the world's largest lily with a pad that can reach eight feet in diameter.
There are various species, most of which bloom during the day but some of which are night-bloomers. The best viewing times are March through September, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The park and its International Water Lily Collection are open to the public and free.
