College Station is the "twin city" of Bryan, and the two are usually mentioned together, hyphenated (as in Bryan-College Station).
College Station is an verdant part of the state, with the Brazos River running just outside of town, and the Brazos River Valley and numerous other streams and rivers in the area proving plenty of opportunities for fishing and other outdoor activities.
What drives the College Station and Bryan area, however, is Texas A&M University. They love their Aggies here, especially the football team. Athletic events on campus are frequent and visitors can usually find a game of some sort to attend.
The university is home to the area's airport, and features several museums and a horticultural center open to the public. One of the best-trafficked destinations at Texas A&M is the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, which collects personal and official papers and memorabilia from the life of President George H.W. Bush.
In adjoining Bryan, visitors can check out the Brazos Valley Historical Museum, the Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley, the Carnegie Center of Brazos Valley History and the restored Carnegie Library.
