About: The Flying L Guest Ranch is, you guessed it, a guest ranch in the town of Bandera, which bills itself as the "cowboy capitol of the world." The Flying L golf course is on land that is in the Medina River valley, and the ridgelines in the distance seem to form a ring around the resort. The course plays to around 6,600 yards with several holes that dogleg sharply about 100 yards before the green. Golf packages are available, but the Flying L golf course is open to the general public as well. While there are some good views around this track, the Flying L golf course is not out in the middle of nowhere - houses and other resort properties line many of the holes - and it is not a fancy resort course, but more of a typical small-town track.
