About: Located in Gus Wortham Park, Wortham Park Golf Course is situated along Brays Bayou in south-central Houston. The course features elevated tees and several holes require uphill approaches into greens. There are plenty of trees around the course, but they do not pinch the playing areas, so big bombers can bomb away. The front nine has the unusual feature of three consecutive par-5 holes, two of which are short enough for many golfers to go for the green in two. Wortham Park Golf Course is a par-72 for men and par-74 for women; from the back tees, it plays 6,270 yards. This course was the original home of Houston Country Club.
