About: Located on the premises of the Fort Sam Houston army base, Fort Sam Houston Golf Club used to be open only to military, government employees, and their guests. However, the two golf courses at Fort Sam Houston are now open to the general public. Both courses, La Loma and Salado del Rio, have been the sites of the PGA Tour's Texas Open and the All-Army Championships. Fort Sam Houston's golf courses are considered among the best military courses in the U.S.
