About: The two golf courses that make up the La Cantera Golf Club are part of the Westin La Cantera Resort, considered one of the best golf resorts in the U.S. The resort and the two golf courses are on San Antonio's northwest side in the hills and valleys of the Texas Hill Country. The Palmer Course at La Cantera was built on a very difficult piece of property, with many holes on the front side playing through valleys and on the back side playing along ridgelines from hilltop to hilltop. The Palmer Course is the more difficult of La Cantera's two courses with many blind shots, fast greens and challenging angles. The Palmer Course is located about two miles away, via a separate entrace, from the Westin La Cantera Resort and the Resort Course.
