About: Riverside Golf Course opened as a 9-hole course in 1929, with the second nine added in 1961. The par-72 layout plays 6,602 yards from the championship tees. Riverside is so named because the San Antonio River flows through the course. This track offers some modest elevation changes, challenging dogleg holes, and plenty of mature trees lining play. Riverside is considered among the better layouts, as far as the quality of its design, in San Antonio, but conditions are often spotty. The Riverside Golf Course complex also includes a 9-hole par-3 course that was created at the same time the second nine was added in 1961.
