About: Willow Springs Golf Course, east of Downtown San Antonio, was built as a private club in 1923, but purchased by the city in 1945. It has been a municipal facility ever since. Willow Springs was the host of the PGA Tour Texas Open several times in the past. The par-72 course tips out at 7,085 yards. The second hole is a 650-yard dogleg that is among the most challenging holes in San Antonio. Willow Springs Golf Course features many wide open fairways and large greens, with many greens slightly elevated above the level of their fairways.
