About: Owned by the city of Universal City, a San Antonio suburb along Interstate 35, Olympia Hills Golf Course features dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, with several tees dropping 50 feet to fairways below. The front nine plays along hilltops and through thickly wooded areas, while the back nine is much more open with less up-and-down. The course plays to 6,923 and is particularly known for its collection of par-3 holes, all of which drop significantly from tee-to-green. While Interstate 35 is close by, Olympia Hills Golf Club feels more secluded and the highway is rarely visible around the course. However, this course has always had some drainage and water flow issues and is sometimes easily damaged in heavy rains.
